Kinesio Taping alleviates your pain and helps lymphatic drainage by lifting the skin, because the taping forms convolutions. More simply put it will take pressure off of the sensory receptors which then allow it to drain more freely reducing edema, inflammation, and discomfort.
To alleviate pain in your shoulder, starting at a midway point on your upper arm, place the tape at midway point of your upper arm have the tape go around your the back of your shoulder muscle towards your neck. Then take another Y strip and starting at the same midway point .
For your neck, tilt your neck down slightly and have someone take one piece of strip and put it right in the middle of the back of your neck and have it curve to the right and the other piece to the left. It will be like an upside down V. Taking another strip put it horizontally over the back of your neck.
For low back pain, lean forward slightly and put two strips down your back on either side of the spine. They should run parallel and end right above the tail bone. Take one more strip and place it horizontally over the two other strips at your lower back.
